Do Jo
Do Jo is the place of training and awareness
There are 4 positions in Do Jo :
1) Sheman : this is the supreme point that master locates on it .
2) At the right side of the matter the black grades locate respectively .
3) In front of the master the color belts locate from brown grade to red grade respectively .
4) At the left side of the master the beginners (white belts) locate.
The trainees after entrance to Do Jo wear uniform special to exercise and seat on the tatami based on their degree respectively with siza posture , and after entrance of master into the Do Jo say welcome and salute to the master by command of senior of the class. If the master take positive answer the class will be started and otherwise they should stay in siza posture . entrance and exit to tatami follows specific regulations . the trainee before entrance to the tatami should seat in siza posture at the lowest point of the mat and salute to the master and then take entrance permission , during the exit these actions should be done too.
In each Do Jo tatami has different dimensions based on the type of style and their activity . In Henkado style the tatami has diameters of 3 and 5 cm which prevents from damaging the trainee , because in this style is using launching techniques so much and if the mat doesn’t work as a buffer the trainee will be damaged severely.
